What this site collects today
FinancesForYou.ca does not use analytics or tracking scripts, and does not set cookies beyond what your browser stores by default to render the page. There is no account system. The one place this site collects personal information is the subscribe form that appears near the bottom of every page: if you enter your first name and email address and select Subscribe, that information is sent to this website so we can send you periodic Canadian financial education content. It is not sold, and it is not used to build an advertising profile. The Contact page separately uses a plain email link, so anything you send from there goes directly to that inbox, not stored by this website.
If you subscribe for updates
Subscribing is optional and asks for two things: your first name and your email address. That information is sent to MailerLite, the email delivery platform this site uses to send subscribe-form updates, and is used only to send you the Canadian financial education content you signed up for — not personalized financial advice, not product recommendations, and not a guarantee of any result. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe at any time.
If you book a Financial Health Check-up
Booking currently happens through an external scheduling tool, not a form hosted on this site. That tool's own privacy practices apply to whatever information you provide there, separately from this website.
If this changes
Any future feature that collects additional personal information — a contact form, an account system — will come with an update to this page describing exactly what's collected, why, and how it's used, reviewed against Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) before it ships, not after.
